Happy Birthday, Nuper!
Anita gave me a travel journal by Nomad Adventures in which I record my wanderings. She bought it while we were at the Canyon, so it has extra special meaning to me.
The rest of the day was an uneventful day of driving as far as we could to get home as quick as we could. We stayed in the same hotel that we stayed in a week ago. But there was one big difference. The water in Wichita Falls stank and tasted horrible. According to a waitress, the water source had "turned". It was so bad that the ice in our sodas gave it an off taste.
Tomorrow we will be home. The Great Grand Canyon Expedition will be over. I am not ready for that.
