Grand Canyon National Park to Albuquerque, New Mexico Thursday, 5 July, 2012
We broke camp today and headed for home. We drove to Desert View to have one last good look at the Canyon. I have not seen as much of the Canyon as I would have like to, but I was glad we took the time to stop. This part of the Canyon is less forested and offers a more open view. The Canyon appears to be less deep here which makes it easier to see the river.
Too soon it was time to climb back into the van and head on back. We drove through desert, forest, hills, plains, reservations, towns, hot weather, and rain. By early evening, with a gentle rain falling,we had reached Albuquerque, New Mexico.
