I was scheduled to appear at several places this weekend. But I didn't make any of them. Anita has a severe sinus and upper respiratory infection. She went to the doctor on Thursday. He told her that she would be contagious until Saturday. That's when the antibiotics would take control. So, we did not go with Leah to the doctor on Friday morning. We did not go to Tracie and Alan's on Friday night. We did not go to Jamie and Brady's wedding on Saturday with all of our children. We did not go to the church picnic today. Anita went with her parents to the Hilltop Baptist Church to hear Kenny perform with two other men from church. I was going to go, but I decide to stay home because my left middle finger is hurting from a scropion sting. I mean it is really hurting and now it's been seven hours since it got me.
However,even with all of the missed opportunities it was a very good weekend. Leah's doctor visit was a major relief. Her headaches are just headaches. They can be managed with medications and are not due to anything of a serious medical nature. Never doubt the power of prayer.
