"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein
This has always been one of my favorite quotes from Dr. Einstein. And today an incident took place that proved him right again. We recieved an e-mail from our IT department informing us that we will be using some new software. They have prepared a series of tutorials to help us transition from the old to the new. It even has videos to help us learn how to use the new software. The only problem is, our systems on the units do not have speakers. You would think that the IT guys would know that. When contacted about the situation, they told use that we would need to bring in speakers or headphones. You would think that they know that those items are considered contraband.
Only two more days until the Warrior Dash. Am I ready? I have been runing for months and I can say with the utmost confidence, NO! I had been running on a treadmill at the Family Life Center for awhile. I had worked my way up to running four miles at 5.4 mph. A couple of weeks ago I started running on the track at Poynor. I have a difficult time lasting for a mile. Granted, I am averaging 7 mph, but still, that's not boosting my confidence.
There are 12 obstacles over a 3 mile course. That means there is an obstacle every 1/4 mile. My plan is to go from obstacle to obstacle and rest while I wait to injure myself. I am going for the social aspects not the competitive glory. I just want to cross the finishline. Alive if possible.

Don't worry! If you don't plan on leaving me behind, you will probably get plenty of breaks. *cough cough*
