What's Up

Hard to believe that it has been almost a month since I've posted anything. I will try the excuse that I have been too busy. Let me know how well that one is working.

Not one person has made any comment on my drastic reduction in the use of Facebook. Either the world does not care what I think or maybe people have been so busy with their own writings that they have not noticed that I dropped them as friends. Oh well, it is not like I have missed any of their posts.

One reason that I have not posted anything is because my Hughes Net satellite internet connection has a Fair Access Policy (FAP) that slows down my system after I use 375 MB of uploads or downloads. It does not take me long to run up against that limited. I had a Microsoft critical update that was 365 MB the other week. Add the podcasts, software updates, and book downloads to my Nook, and I am waiting for the next 24 hours to past so my internet connection will be back to it's normal speed. As soon as I can, I will drop Hughes Net faster than I reached FAP limits.

I have another reason for my lack of posts. My desktop PC's power source went bad. I ended up doing a clean install of Windows 7 with an upgrade version. Once I figured out the hardware problem I had to call Microsoft to get the new OS activated. They did without any problems. So, all the software has been reinstalled along with all the updated drivers.

The only problem I have is that iTunes has deleted some of the apps on my iPod Touch. I would not be concerned except for the fact that theses were apps that I paid for. I may have to call Apple now.

The very biggest and bestest news is that Paul got married. On July 3, 2010 Paul and Diana Ramo became husband and wife. They also bought a house. So Paul is now a husband, a step-father, and a home owner. That is a lot for anyone in short time. But Paul is handling it well. I have never seen a groom as happy as he was at his wedding.

I have been on summer break for the last week. Anita and I have decide to do some projects around the house. So far we have removed and replaced the shelving in  our closet as well as repainting it. Today we started repainting the utility room. We are planning on adding crown molding and repainting the master bedroom next. In the mean time we are getting ready to have a reception for Paul and Diana this Saturday. Next week we are picking up a honey extractor and harvesting our honey crop. By the time I go back to work I may be looking forward to the rest.
