Of course I was back at work today. And it was more intense than I expected. The paperwork was mile high, which was almost as high as the e-mail. I did not know that I would be acting principal today. Do not get me wrong, I like my job. But I do have one question for you, how long before I can retire?
The other thing I am having difficult with adjusting too is the heat. Summer came in while I was gone. Last week I was slipping on ice and staying warm by a nice campfire. Now I am hot and sweaty all day. Uck.
Over the break I read two books by John Scalzi. "Old Man's War" and "The Ghost Brigades". I highly recommend both of them to any sci-fi reader. I wanted to get the next in the series, "The Last Colony", but it was not available in Tyler. So I got "The Android's Dream". You just know that a book is going to be good when it starts off, "Dirk Moeller didn't know if he could fart his way into a major diplomatic incident. But he was ready to find out."
OK so I am a picture thief. Diana took this picture of a dandelion, but I really like it and felt like it should be shared. So enjoy.
