Running in Circles

I know that I had planned to post to my blog every Sunday this year and I have already missed one deadline. I had things to do Sunday and my internet connection was incredibly slow. It's still running slow tonight slow I am using Microsoft Word to write this and I will post it when I can.

I have been playing with my new camera (Canon EOS Rebel XSi digital SLR). I have yet to learn everything that it can do. I bought my second book on using it this weekend so that I can hopefully master it someday. Right now it is smarter than I am. Because the weather has been so cold for the last couple of weeks, I have not had a chance to take it out and put it through its paces.

Today was our annual GED training day. It was uneventful. Talking about the correct way to administer the GED can be a dry subject. At least the company was enjoyable.

This afternoon I when out running for a bit. Last week Anita and I started a program she heard about called "Couch to 5K". It claims it will take you from being a couch potato to being able to run a 5K run in only 9 weeks. The program is a combination of walking and running. As time goes by the amount of walking deceases and the running increases. Nine weeks seems like a very short time for us to get into that kind of shape. I have the feeling that they were not planning on two almost 60 year olds in such bad shape was going to give their plan a try. If we pull this off it will be a testament to the program's effectiveness.
