Today was the first day back at work. The first half was a waste of time because the computer system was down. The second half was a mad scramble to get the classes set up in time to get rosters out for tomorrow. It’s good to be back.
My three weeks off were restful, enjoyable, and productive. We did not go on any trips. What we did do was attended Paul’s wedding, saw a play at the Texas Shakespeare Festival, took down the shelves in the walk-in closet, repainted it, and installed new shelving. We also repainted the utility room with the left over paint. We also repainted the walls and ceiling of the master bedroom and installed crown molding. I reorganized the garage and built shelves from the re-cycled material from the closet.
I also harvested 5 gallons of honey from my 2 hives. It looks good and tastes even better. I am very pleased with quality and quantity we produced this year.
The Tour de France was an interesting race. It had a good combination of difficult stages, controversial calls, and close stages. Alberto Contodor won the tour and andy schelk won 2nd. At the beginning I had hope that Lance Armstrong would place higher in the GC. But it was not meant to be. But his team, Radio Shack, was the number team. You have to take the good with the bad and as good as it was, it has to come to an end. As soon as it’s over, you start to contemplate next years event. Summer Break is the same way.
