My last few entries have been copies of weekly journaling I do for my Applied Counseling class. The instructor is Dr. Leann Morgan. I have been posting them because they are an insight into who I am. They also are a way to stop blog fade.

This is a follow up to my last blog. I received an e-mail from Dr. Gilliam the next morning. She had re-set the test and I was allowed  to start over. I told my boss I was going to take an hour to take my test and she was OK with that. I made a 94 on it. Later I received an e-mail from Dr. Morgan, which I have reprinted below.

Hi Ken! NO, you will not give up...I will not allow you to! You are great at what you do, and the profession needs you. Hang in there! I am sure that you will work out the test issue with your prof. and it will all be o.k. Don't sweat the 30%, I am confident it will not impede your final grade if all goes well from here on out. I hope a good night's rest made it all seem a bit better. We all have those weeks and it stinks, but you know it will be worth it in the end. :)

A disaster today. Billy and Micky Brice, Tracie's brother-in-law and sister, were out riding their motorcycle with four other couples going to Edom. A car coming towards them in the other lane lost control and ran into them. The couple on the lead cycle were killed. Billy and Micky were the second in line. Billy suffered a concussion and a broken clavicle and scapula. Micky broke her leg and and her elbow. The couple on the third cycle were slightly injured, treated, and released. The fourth couple were not injured. Micky has been through surgery and is in ICU. Billy is being operated on this evening. Tracie and Alan is in Tyler with them. They will be here later.

On an ironic note, we think we heard the sirens from the ambulance responding to the scene this morning.
