We finished our student testing this past week. We have one more week before summer break. The testing went very well with out any problems. We did not have any irregularities and I think almost every student who needed testing was tested. Anyway, the tests are on their way to be scored.
About this time the unit is usually locked down for it's semi-annual shake down. That is where each cell and each offender is checked for contraband. it normally takes two weeks. I could use a lock down this week, but have heard it will start after we have gone on vaction. I need a big block of time with offenders just so I can catch up on my paperwork. Oh well, such is life.
The good news is that there are only five more days until we leave for our vaction. A week from today will be Grand Canyon Eve. Everybody in the expedition is so excited and can hardly stand the wait. Our house smells of jerky drying in the dehydrator and is covered with piles of sorted gear just waiting to loaded. Paul, Diana, and Jay will be here Thursday night. The men are going to load the van and the women will shop for our provisions. Then after work on Friday, they will picked me up and we will be headed out.
